My husband had cancer and was treated with both surgery and radiation. A decade later he is fit and healthy with no return of the cancer so it does go to show these methods are good ways to treat cancer.

I have heard of Biological therapy like viruses, BCG etc but never really understood their use and benefit.
In all today, Combined therapies are the best for Cancer treatment

Nice stuff! Cancer is a dangerous disease which can take one’s life. I really liked the way you ended the post, prevent rather than searching for cure. I totally agree with you. i think the weight gain side effect of hormone therapy way can be handled well with a proper diet and yoga. Essential nutrients is all that needed for a healthy life and these can be gained from quality foods.

Now that we know the advantages and disadvantages of the types of treatment used for cancer patients, wouldn’t it be better if the author also delved on cancer prevention at the same time? Also, early diagnosis helps. But how early is early? An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

I’ve never heard of biological or hormone therapy, but I’m aware of the others. I wonder if people should be regularly checked up for this so that it never gets to a point where it’s too late – or rarely gets to that point. My uncle is dying from cancer of the back and it spread because it was found so late.

I really worry so much about myself and my daughter getting breast cancer. I have had 3 aunties with it, one of whom has recently died. Thank goodness for wonderful people like Kok workinging tirelessly to find a cure for this terrible disease.
