I would think that Unicorns and Pegasi would live shorter lives, the Pegasi would have lighter bones, which wear out faster. Unicorns use physical energy to practice magic (demonstrated many times in the show). The Pegasi’s bones would wear down quicker, and everytime a Unicorn practices strenous magic, they would essentially be using their life force to do so.
Interesting theories, but I’d think that wings and horns giving long-lasting effects through magic would mean that unicorns and pegasi live longer than the average earth pony, and I don’t know if that’s necessarily true.

Man, this took me waaaaay back (and by “waaaaay back” I mean 3-4 years). Biology was pretty fun in Highschool, though I did enjoy Chem a whole lot more.
Overall, I’d say your analysis is about as good (better, in my case) as any. And the best part is, if there’s a discrepancy, just throw in a magical element and you’re good to go!

how i know this:
1. nightmare moon was trapped in the moon for 1,000 years, so she and celestia had to be able to live that long for nightmare moon to come back.
2. celestia looks the same age from when grandma smith was a filly to now a grand mom, meaning celestia would have to stay the same age.

Imo it would be codominance recessive. So it would be: ex. I’ll use x for the genes. x^h = Horned, x^w = Winged. It works out in the exception of having a x^h x^w which would be an Alicorn, correct? No, I see this as an Earth pony. Therefore if two heterozygous ponies(earth) mate there would be a 50% for an earth pony, 25% unicorn, and 25% pegasus. Now where Alicorns come in, I see a seperate Gene which would be X which would be the Alicorn gene, having full dominance over any recessive.
I wonder how the genetics work in Discords case. Considering alicorns are essentially chimeras, same as Discord, it would be sensible to assume the same genetics apply to all of them.
