Jennifer decided to refuse doing the test. She did not wish to risk her baby. Yet, she still wished to discuss her dilemma with David. She analyzed the situation to David. However, David seemed like disagree with her decision.
“I would like you to do the test, Jenn.”
“But, I don’t want to risk our baby. We might lose the baby!” Jenn replied emotionally.
“Jenn, I can’t lose you as well. I believe that Dr. Josephine will try her best to minimize the risk of the test on our baby. Everything will be alright,” David tried to persuade his beloved.
“I’m afraid, David! I can’t lose our baby. He has been with me for almost 2 months time. I can feel him. I can feel his heart beep. I can feel his existing,” the tears started to flow down from her eyes.
“Everything will be alright, Jenn. I will always be with you. Let the doctor to do the rest,” David wiped the tears on Jenn’s face with his little finger.
They hugged each other silently. Jennifer was compromised. Consequently, David made a call to Dr. Josephine to make an appointment. He did not wish to delay the test again late. The date was fixed. The CVS will be carried out two days later.

Kok Siong’s Question
Welcome to the Sunday Drama Series part 2. This is my question. If you were one of them, what will you do if the result indicating the baby is abnormal? Will you abort the baby? Or will you keep the baby at your own risk?
In fact, this is the situation that I always see in hospital. The parents gave us the sample to do the test for them. If the test result indicated that their baby is abnormal, they have to make decision. I felt very sad to see this kind of cases. Sometimes, they will blame to each other and accusing that she or he is the contributor of the abnormality. Sometimes, the husband decides to divorce his wife because of this unfortunate. We can do nothing. What we can do is just reporting the accurate result to the patients.
